Nick
Mason joins Roger Waters on stage
Standing ovation for Floydian reunion
Pink
Floyd drummer Nick Mason
joined former bandmate Roger Waters
on stage Wednesday, June 26. Mason played "Set the Controls
for the Heart of the Sun" with Waters at Wembley Arena
in London.
The surprise
reunion was the first occasion Waters appeared on stage with any
member of Pink Floyd since he left
the group in a bitter split in 1983. The two received standing ovations
from the enthusiastic crowd before and after the song.
The Wembley
show was one of the last for Waters' 50-date "In the Flesh"
tour. The tour started in February in South Africa, and wrapped
up at the Glastonbury Festival Sunday, June 30.
