Snapper Music has released "Pink Floyd: London 1966-1967." The DVD is a re-edit of the 1967 Peter Whitehead documentary "Tonight Let's All Make Love in London," which contains early performance footage of the Floyd. The film includes footage of the band playing at Sound Techniques studio in London on Jan. 11 and 12, 1967; the UFO club; and The 14 Hour Technicolor Dream Extravaganza at Alexandra Palace in April 1967. The disc contains two complete songs: an early performance of "Interstellar Overdrive," which the band re-recorded for its debut album "The Piper at the Gates of Dawn" (1967); and "Nick's Boogie," an instrumental jam unavailable elsewhere. The music from the film has been available as "London '66-'67," a digipack CD from See for Miles Records, since 1995. The Floyd material ? approximately 30 minutes ? comprises the feature portion of the DVD. Extras include interview segments with the filmmaker and other players in the London scene of the '60s, such as Mick Jagger and Michael Caine. John Lennon can be seen in some of the Alexandra Palace footage. The disc was released Sept. 12 in the U.K., and will be available in the U.S. Oct. 4.
