Barrett possessions to be auctioned
Pink Floyd co-founder had a bike, and you can ride it, if you like
— if you're the high bidder
Personal items
from the estate of Pink Floyd
co-founder Syd Barrett
will be auctioned off this fall.
The collection
includes two bicycles he hand-painted and would often ride during
the three decades he spent living a quiet life in Cambridge after
ending his music career in the early 1970s.
The auction
will also include never-before-seen artwork Barrett painted, paints,
books, an easel, furniture, a guitar and more.
Barrett died
July 7 from complications of diabetes. He was 60.
Cambridge
auction house Cheffins
will handle the sale, which will take place Nov. 28 and 29.
