Just arrived: “Young Lust” demo

Posted January 14, 2012 by Floydian Slip

We’re enjoying hearing an early band demo of Pink Floyd‘s “Young Lust,” the first promo item shipped by EMI in anticipation of February’s re-release of “The Wall.”

Due Feb. 28, the “Immersion” and “Experience” editions of the album will include previously unreleased demos and alternate recordings, such as this one.

Both editions will include an alternate version of “Another Brick in the Wall Pt. 1,” as well as “The Doctor,” an early version of what would become “Comfortably Numb.”

The 7-disc “Immersion” set will also include David Gilmour‘s original demos of “Comfortably Numb” and “Run Like Hell” among many other rarities.

Listen for this band demo of “Young Lust” on Floydian Slip show #824, airing on all affiliate stations Jan. 19-25.

Correction: We’ll play it on show #825, Jan. 26-Feb. 1.
