scoopPete Townshend releases "All Lovers Are Deranged"
Song a collaboration between The Who guitarist and Floyd's David Gilmour

On Oct. 29, Pete Townshend released his recording of "All Lovers Are Deranged," a song he co-wrote with Pink Floyd's David Gilmour. The song is included in the 2-CD set "Scoop 3," available exclusively at Townshend's Web site: www.eelpie.com.

Townshend co-wrote the song with Gilmour in the early 1980s. Gilmour released his recording of the song on his 1984 "About Face" album.

Townshend met Gilmour while Floyd was working on "The Final Cut" at Eel Pie Studios, owned by Townshend. He wrote lyrics for two songs that appeared on "About Face" — "All Lovers Are Deranged" and "Love on the Air."

"Scoop 3" follows in the vein of "Scoop" (1983) and "Another Scoop" (1987) by offering selections from Townshend's archive.
