"Make the Monkey Dance" is Nick Mason collaborator's first solo effort

Danny Peyronel is set to release "Make the Monkey Dance," the first solo album in his nearly 30 year career. Peyronel collaborated with Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason on Mason and (Rick) Fenn's "Profiles" (1985). He wrote and sang "Israel" for the album, and co-wrote "Lie for a Lie," sung by Floyd's David Gilmour.

Peyronel, a native of Argentina, was a founding member of Heavy Metal Kids, who went on to play with UFO. After spending years in the United States, he's now based in Milan.

"Make the Monkey Dance" contains 11 tracks, including Peyronel's new recording of "Lie for a Lie."

"We're currently negotiating to have the CD released in as many territories as possible," Peyronel says. For more information, visit the artist's Web site: www.dannypeyronel.com.
