Pink
Floyd featured in Blender magazine
Band's legal woes fodder for Maxim's sister publication
Blender
magazine features Pink Floyd in its
June/July issue. The article, titled "All You Need Is Hate!,"
lists 10 famous band feuds. Floyd's legal dispute with band co-founder
Roger Waters is included in the article.
Waters sued
former bandmates David Gilmour and
Nick Mason when they started work on
1987's "A Momentary Lapse of
Reason" album. Waters quit the group following 1983's "The
Final Cut," and unsuccessfully attempted to stop the others
from using the name Pink Floyd after his departure.
"In some
sense, Roger got what he wanted," Dr. Doe Lang, Ph.D., states
in the article, "but it was a false victory, and that's why
he's still bitter."
Blender is
published bi-monthly by Dennis Publishing Inc., publisher of the
men's magazines Maxim and Stuff. The June/July issue
has the Osbournes on the cover.
