"Echoes" drops off Billboard chart
Twenty-six weeks on chart yields triple-platinum status

"Echoes: The Best of Pink Floyd" has dropped off The Billboard 200 chart. It last appeared at #198 in last week's issue of the music industry trade magazine. It had spent 26 weeks on the chart. The album has been certified triple-platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America, representing more than 3 million units shipped.

The album debuted at the #2 position on Nov. 24, 2001. Together with Britney Spears' "Britney" album, which debuted at #1 that same week, "Echoes" helped knock Michael Jackson's "Invincible" from the top spot.
