Floyd guitarist contributes to two tracks

Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour appears on two songs on "Ringo Rama," the new album from former Beatle Ringo Starr.

Gilmour has contributed to "I Think Therefore I Rock & Roll" and "Missouri Loves Company."

"Ringo Rama" also includes "Never Without You," a tribute to the late George Harrison, which will be released to radio stations Feb. 17.

The album was produced by Mark Hudson (Aerosmith). Other guests on the album include Eric Clapton, Willie Nelson, Timothy B. Schmit (Eagles, Poco), and Shawn Colvin.

Floyd's Roger Waters was previously reported to be on the album. That rumor appears to be false.

Starr will tour with the latest incarnation of his All-Star Band this summer. The group will include Sheila E., drums; Colin Hay (Men at Work), guitar; John Waite (Babys, Bad English), bass; and Paul Carrack (Squeeze, Mike + the Mechanics), keyboards/vocals.

The album, recorded mostly at Starr's home studio in England, will be released on March 25 by Koch Records.

Order "Ringo Rama" now.
