Roger Waters to play in Boston and New York City
"Music to My Ears" concerts to benefit family of magazine editor

Roger Waters will play two Northeast shows as part of the Music to My Ears concerts. The performances will be Oct. 7 at Boston's FleetCenter and Oct. 8 at New York's Madison Square Garden.

The shows will benefit the family of Timothy White. White was editor in chief of Billboard magazine since 1991. He died suddenly of a heart attack on June 27 at age 50. He was survived by his wife, Judy Garlan White, and two sons, Alexander and Christopher.

The Boston show will feature Billy Joel, Sheryl Crow, Don Henley, John Mellencamp, Sting, and James Taylor. The New York show will also include Jimmy Buffett and Brian Wilson, but will miss Taylor and Joel. All artists are donating their time to the cause.

Tickets went on sale Aug. 26. They're priced at $50-$250 for the Boston show and $45-250 for the New York concert, and are available through Ticketmaster, as well as from the FleetCenter box office and the Madison Square Garden box office.
