pulse"Pulse" DVD coming in December
Long-awaited concert disc includes full performance of "Dark Side"

Sony will release Pink Floyd's "Pulse" as a two DVD set in the United States on Dec. 6.

The film will combine live concert footage with behind-the-scenes material shot backstage during the band's 1994 tour of "The Division Bell" album.

Performance material on the DVD will come from the group's performance at London's Earls Court during Floyd's 14-night residency. The second disc will contain the first ever live filmed performance of Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon."

The set will be mastered by long-time Floyd collaborator James Guthrie and will feature 5.1 Surround Sound. The package will be designed by long-time Floyd designer Storm Thorgerson.

"Pulse" was released as a two-CD set in 1995. It's been available on VHS since June '95.

Addendum: Sony has bumped the release date to Jan. 31.
