{"id":10286,"date":"2020-12-28T10:01:28","date_gmt":"2020-12-28T14:01:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.floydianslip.com\/news\/?p=10286"},"modified":"2020-12-28T10:05:34","modified_gmt":"2020-12-28T14:05:34","slug":"new-website-focuses-on-post-1983-pink-floyd","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.floydianslip.com\/news\/2020\/12\/new-website-focuses-on-post-1983-pink-floyd\/","title":{"rendered":"New website focuses on post-1983 Pink Floyd"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/PubliusEnigma.co.uk\"><\/a>Ed Lopez-Reyes<\/strong> has launched <a href=\"http:\/\/PubliusEnigma.co.uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">PubliusEnigma.co.uk<\/a>, a website focused on <strong>Pink Floyd<\/strong>\u2019s post-1983 work, along with solo work from the band&#8217;s alumni.<\/p>\n<p>He describes the project as an academic approach to understanding the music in the era that began with The Final Cut. \u201cThe idea is to provide a resource that spans Pink Floyd\u2019s \u2018<strong>David Gilmour<\/strong> era\u2019, from the departure of <strong>Roger Waters<\/strong> through today,&#8221; he says.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This period set the stage for the longest era in the band\u2019s history and for each band member\u2019s most prolific work outside the band itself.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lopez-Reyes was a contributor and editor of <strong>Martin Popoff\u2019<\/strong>s 2018 book &#8220;Pink Floyd: Album by Album.&#8221; His writing&#8217;s been published on Floyd fan website Brain Damage UK, as well as right here on the &#8220;Floydian Slip&#8221; news feed.<\/p>\n<p>The site includes new interviews with Floyd background vocalists <strong>The McBroom Sisters<\/strong>; <strong>Bj\u00f8rn Riis<\/strong>, vocalist\/guitarist for Norwegian band <strong>Airbag<\/strong> and publisher of Gimourish.com; Floyd saxophonist and rhythm guitar player <strong>Scott Page<\/strong>; and Floyd collaborator <strong>Jon Carin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Lopez-Reyes has created a presence for the site on social media platforms as well, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram (@publiusenigmauk).<\/p>\n<p>Publius Enigma is a donated\u00a0<strong>Wolf &amp; King Media<\/strong>\u00a0project under the direction of Lopez-Reyes.
