<\/a>Warner Music<\/strong> will release “Pink Floyd Live at Knebworth 1990” for the first time on CD, double vinyl, and digital platforms on April 30.<\/p>\n

Only two Pink Floyd<\/strong> tracks from the 1990 Silver Clef Winners performance at Knebworth House, Hertfordshire, were included in the 1990 album “Knebworth: The Album.” Floyd’s entire set made it into “The Later Years: 1987\u20132019” boxset released in 2019.<\/p>\n

Floyd topped the bill for that June 30, 1990, event. Other artists included Paul McCartney<\/strong>, Dire Straits<\/strong>, Genesis<\/strong>, Phil Collins<\/strong>, Robert Plant<\/strong> (with Jimmy Page<\/strong>), Cliff Richard<\/strong>, Eric Clapton<\/strong> and Tears For Fears<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Approximately 120,000 fans attended the event, which supported the Nordoff Robbins charity; and MTV broadcast the concert globally.<\/p>\n

“There is something special about Knebworth. We all still have fond memories of playing there in the ’70s, and this show was no different,” says Floyd drummer Nick Mason<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

“As a North London boy this was almost a home game, but with the added delight of being the re-assembly of the band after a fairly mega-tour that had lasted for well over a year.<\/p>\n

<\/a>“It was also an opportunity to get the wonderful Candy Dulfer<\/strong> to play,” he adds. “I had been a fan of hers for quite a while, and it was just a shame we didn\u2019t have an opportunity to utilize her for more.<\/p>\n

“We also had our dear friend Michael Kamen<\/strong> guesting. Michael had contributed so much to Pink Floyd over the previous 10 years, it\u2019s great to have something of his playing on the recording.”<\/p>\n

Also joining Floyd’s Mason, David Gilmour,<\/strong> and Richard Wrigh<\/strong>t for the performance were Guy Pratt<\/strong>, Jon Carin<\/strong>, Tim Renwick<\/strong>, Gary Wallis<\/strong>, Durga McBroom<\/strong>, Sam Brown<\/strong>, Vicki Brown<\/strong> and Clare Torry<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    The album was produced by Chris Kimsey<\/strong> and Steve Smith<\/strong>; and recorded and engineered by Mike Fraser<\/strong>. It’s been remixed\u00a0 by Andy Jackson<\/strong> with David Gilmour<\/strong>, assisted by Damon Iddins<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    Warner will handle the album’s release within Europe; Sony Music<\/strong> will release it outside Europe.<\/p>\n
