Rhino\/Parlophone<\/strong> will release an expansive remix of Rick Wright<\/strong>‘s 1978 solo album “Wet Dream” on July 28.<\/p>\n Arriving on what would have been the Pink Floyd<\/strong> keyboardist’s 80th birthday \u2014 Wright died in 2008 at age 65 \u2014 the album will be available in a deep blue transparent marble vinyl, CD and Blu-ray. It’ll also be available for the first time on streaming platforms.<\/p>\n The album has been remixed in Dolby Atmos and 5.1 Surround Sound by Steven Wilson<\/strong>. Wilson started his remixing career in 2009 as a side-hustle to his work as a musician in bands such as Porcupine Tree<\/strong>. He’s revamped classic albums by many bands such as Jethro Tull<\/strong>, King Crimson<\/strong>, Roxy Music<\/strong> and Yes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The “Wet Dream” reissue features new artwork commissioned and art-directed by Gala<\/strong> and Jamie Wright<\/strong>, Wright\u2019s children and managers of his estate.<\/p>\n The cover art features the same unidentified person wearing red shorts swimming in deep blue waters of the sea rather than a pool. The image expands out to reveal a boat slightly out of their reach, a reference to the nautical theme of the record.<\/p>\n The image was shot by Costas Spathis<\/strong>, a photographer living and working in Greece, where Wright wrote the album. Graphic design is by Carl Glover<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The LP’s original artwork was designed by Storm Thorgerson<\/strong> and photographed by Aubrey Powell<\/strong> for Hipgnosis<\/strong>, and is featured in the vinyl edition’s booklet.<\/p>\n
