Clifton David Broadbridge<\/strong>, a native of Belleville, Ontario, now living in Nashville, was named lead vocalist of “LEGACY \u2014 A Pink Floyd Show,” a Floyd tribute led by Harry Waters<\/strong> and officially sanctioned by his father, Floyd co-founder Roger Waters<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Broadbridge was selected from thousands of applicants who responded to an open audition call this spring. Three-thousand submissions were reviewed by Harry himself. According to The Intellegencer, Harry narrowed the field to 40 submissions and then eight before settling on Broadbridge.<\/p>\n

Broadbridge, 48, has spent 20 years performing with Classic Albums Live, a project that performs live recreations of classic rock albums by artists such as Fleetwood Mac<\/strong>, Supertramp<\/strong>, Led Zeppelin<\/strong>, Madonna<\/strong>, as well as Floyd and others.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s very surreal,” Broadbridge tells The Intellegencer. “The music is so important to so many people, and because Roger is presenting the show, and directing the show, and producing it, there is such a high bar to it.”<\/p>\n
