Nonetheless, it&#8217;s worth noting the U.K.&#8217;s <strong>Classic Rock<\/strong> magazine has featured him on its list of &#8220;100 greatest guitarists of all time&#8221; published in the September issue.<\/p>\n<p>The peer-generated list created by polling 100 guitarists includes a write-up about Gilmour by <strong>Marillion<\/strong>&#8216;s <strong>Steve Rothery<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s down to playing what the song requires, and no more, basically.
