{"id":6271,"date":"2015-04-15T15:42:03","date_gmt":"2015-04-15T19:42:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.floydianslip.com\/news\/?p=6271"},"modified":"2015-04-15T15:47:26","modified_gmt":"2015-04-15T19:47:26","slug":"roger-waters-amused-to-death-remastered","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.floydianslip.com\/news\/2015\/04\/roger-waters-amused-to-death-remastered\/","title":{"rendered":"Roger Waters&#8217; Amused to Death remastered"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.floydianslip.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/amused_reissue_lg.jpg\"><\/a>Columbia Records\/Legacy Recordings<\/strong> will issue a remastered edition of<strong> Roger Waters<\/strong>&#8216; 1992 album &#8220;Amused to Death&#8221; on July 24.<\/p>\n<p>The reissue will feature a new 5.1 Surround Sound remix of the album on high-definition Blu-ray audio and a new remastered stereo mix by longtime\u00a0Pink Floyd collaborator <strong>James Guthrie<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The cover and gatefold art has been updated by <strong>Sean Evans<\/strong>, creative director of Waters\u2019 2010-2013 \u201cThe Wall Live\u201d tour and film.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m remembering the record from [over] 20 years ago, that most of what I had to say then sadly still pertains today and is maybe even more relevant to our predicament as people in 2015 even than it was in 1992,\u201d says Waters.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.floydianslip.com\/news\/2014\/04\/amused-to-death-surround-sound-world-premiere\/\">Guthrie premiered his Surround Sound mix<\/a> at the Pink Floyd academic conference held at Princeton in April 2014.<\/p>\n<p>The reissue will be available in six formats: CD; CD\/Blu-ray; SACD; hi-res digital download; double-LP 200 gram vinyl, pressed at Quality Record Pressings; and a limited edition, vinyl, numbered double-LP picture disc.<\/p>\n<p>The album&#8217;s available for pre-order at <a href=\"http:\/\/smarturl.it\/ATD_D2C?iqid=pr\">rogerwaters.com<\/a>, which has a number of music\/merchandise bundles available.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Columbia Records\/Legacy Recordings will issue a remastered edition of Roger Waters&#8216; 1992 album &#8220;Amused to Death&#8221; on July 24.
