{"id":6700,"date":"2015-09-02T17:21:09","date_gmt":"2015-09-02T21:21:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.floydianslip.com\/news\/?p=6700"},"modified":"2015-09-02T17:21:09","modified_gmt":"2015-09-02T21:21:09","slug":"early-pink-floyd-home-renovated-for-sale","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.floydianslip.com\/news\/2015\/09\/early-pink-floyd-home-renovated-for-sale\/","title":{"rendered":"Early Pink Floyd home renovated, for sale"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Highgate home in northern London where the founding members of <strong>Pink Floyd<\/strong> lived while the band took shape has been renovated and is for sale.<\/p>\n<p>The three-story property was owned by <strong>Mike Leonard<\/strong> \u2014 the band briefly called itself <strong>Leonard\u2019s Lodgers<\/strong> \u2014 a lecturer at Hornsey College of Art who was instrumental in developing the band\u2019s trademark light shows.<\/p>\n<p>Floyd\u2019s <strong>Roger Waters<\/strong> and <strong>Nick Mason<\/strong> moved into the home in September 1963, joined a year later by <strong>Syd Barrett<\/strong>. <strong>Rick Wright<\/strong> also lived there.<\/p>\n<p>Leonard, who continued to own the property until his death in 2012, had allowed the property to fall into disrepair.
