A handful of very early Pink Floyd recordings had their first official release Friday as “Pink Floyd 1965: Their First Recordings.” The limited edition vinyl set was sold during Record Store Day in the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n

At least two of the recordings had been floating around as bootlegs since the ’60s \u2014 “Lucy Leave” and “I’m a King Bee” \u2014 but most fans were familiar with the others by title only.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0double-7-inch vinyl set contains a total of four Syd Barrett<\/strong> numbers, one by Roger Waters<\/strong> and a cover of a Slim Harpo<\/strong> song:<\/p>\n

    The lineup on the recordings consists of Roger Waters<\/strong>, bass and vocals; Nick Mason<\/strong>, drums; Rado Klose<\/strong>, guitar; Richard Wright<\/strong>, keyboards; and Syd Barrett<\/strong>, guitar and vocals.<\/p>\n

    The Waters composition, “Walk With Me Sydney,” features vocals by Juliette Gale<\/strong>, wife of keyboardist Rick Wright<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    Though the limited edition of approximately 1,000 sets was distributed in the U.K. only, the band’s Facebook page says the band hopes to make the tracks available “in some physical form towards the end of next year (2016).”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
