{"id":7313,"date":"2016-06-29T08:37:58","date_gmt":"2016-06-29T12:37:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.floydianslip.com\/news\/?p=7313"},"modified":"2016-06-29T08:37:58","modified_gmt":"2016-06-29T12:37:58","slug":"roger-waters-signs-bmg-publishing-deal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.floydianslip.com\/news\/2016\/06\/roger-waters-signs-bmg-publishing-deal\/","title":{"rendered":"Roger Waters signs BMG publishing deal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Roger Waters<\/strong> has signed a publishing deal with <strong>BMG<\/strong> to represent his catalogue of Pink Floyd songs.<\/p>\n<p>As a main songwriter with Floyd, many of the band&#8217;s most popular (i.e. profitable) songs fall under Waters&#8217; jurisdiction: &#8220;Money,&#8221; &#8220;Shine On You Crazy Diamond,&#8221; &#8220;Another Brick in the Wall, Part II&#8221; and &#8220;Comfortably Numb,&#8221; to name a few.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are honored that Roger Waters has chosen BMG, the youngest of the big international music companies, to represent his legendary and exquisite catalog,&#8221; says BMG CEO <strong>Hartwig Masuch<\/strong>. &#8220;To win the endorsement and trust of one of the world\u2019s most successful songwriters is a significant milestone less than eight years after our launch.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Waters added, \u201cOctober last year I put on a gig called Music Heals with some wounded veterans in Washington D.C. BMG supported us.
