{"id":810,"date":"2010-01-27T15:28:56","date_gmt":"2010-01-27T20:28:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.floydianslip.com\/news\/?p=810"},"modified":"2010-08-17T21:36:51","modified_gmt":"2010-08-18T01:36:51","slug":"pink-floyd-university-launches","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.floydianslip.com\/news\/2010\/01\/pink-floyd-university-launches\/","title":{"rendered":"Pink Floyd University launches"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Pink Floyd University<\/strong>, a new correspondence course devoted to all things Floydian, has opened its virtual doors.<\/p>\n<p>The project is an evolution of two courses <strong>Karl &#8220;Pink&#8221; Anderson<\/strong> (pictured) taught at Renton Technical College (RTC) in Renton, Wash., 10 years ago.<\/p>\n<p>Anderson, now in Bay City, Ore., has expanded the curriculum to include what he promises will be an exhaustive study of the band and its output contained in 30 modules.<\/p>\n<p>Registration for the course is $125, with each module costing an additional $50. Students receive course materials \u2014 including audio material \u2014 either via email or snail mail. With a maximum of four weeks to complete each module, students can graduate within 2\u00bd years at a total cost of $1,625.<\/p>\n<p>Anderson used archives from our Floydian Slip radio show to supplement his courses back at RTC.
