{"id":9809,"date":"2020-03-03T12:34:23","date_gmt":"2020-03-03T16:34:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.floydianslip.com\/news\/?p=9809"},"modified":"2020-03-03T12:35:00","modified_gmt":"2020-03-03T16:35:00","slug":"pink-floyd-announces-record-store-day-release","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.floydianslip.com\/news\/2020\/03\/pink-floyd-announces-record-store-day-release\/","title":{"rendered":"Pink Floyd announces Record Store Day release"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pink Floyd Records will release a limited edition, one-sided 45 of &#8220;Arnold Layne&#8221; for Record Store Day, Saturday, April 18.<\/p>\n<p>The recording represents the last live performance by Floyd with <strong>David Gilmour<\/strong>, <strong>Nick Mason<\/strong> and <strong>Richard Wright<\/strong> playing together at the <strong>Syd Barrett<\/strong> tribute &#8220;The Madcap\u2019s Last Laugh&#8221; at London&#8217;s Barbican on May 10, 2007.<\/p>\n<p>The trio was joined by <strong>Jon Carin<\/strong> on keyboards and vocals; and <strong>Andy Bell<\/strong> from <strong>Oasis<\/strong> on bass guitar.<\/p>\n<p>Floyd creative director <strong>Aubrey Powell<\/strong> oversaw the sleeve, newly created by long-time Floyd collaborators, photographer <strong>Rupert Truman<\/strong> and designer <strong>Peter Curzon<\/strong>, both of <strong>StormStudios<\/strong>. New art extends to the B-side of the single, which features an etching of handcuffs echoing the sleeve design and song lyrics.<\/p>\n<p>The single was mixed by <strong>Damon Iddins<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Pink Floyd Records has supported Record Store Day each year since the label&#8217;s launch in June 2016.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pink Floyd Records will release a limited edition, one-sided 45 of &#8220;Arnold Layne&#8221; for Record Store Day, Saturday, April 18.
