Join us for a special show devoted to early Floyd producer Norman “Hurricane” Smith. Smith, who passed away March 3, 2008, would have turned 87 on Feb. 22.
We’ll play early Floyd produced by the man who signed the band to EMI, along with material from Pretty Things, Barclay James Harvest and others.
We’ll also hear Smith’s own 1972 hit, as well as interview segments with him talking about his work with Pink Floyd.

We’ve made some changes to our posting schedule for our weekly show previews and songlists.
With the recent addition of two more affiliate stations — Radio Universitaria and WRBA 95.9 FM “Arrow 959” — we’ve adjusted our broadcast week to be Thursdays through Wednesdays.
This means we’ll be posting a preview of each week’s show Thursday mornings, with each show’s songlist posting Monday morning.
As always, you can find both weekly posts here, as well as via email when you subscribe to our mailing list.

We’ve dropped the fee we had been charging affiliate stations to air “Floydian Slip.” Or, in broadcasting parlance, we’ve shifted from a “cash” to a “barter” model. We hope the effect will be to get more affiliates to sign on to carry our weekly broadcast.
Why the change?
Stations just aren’t accustomed to paying cash for syndicated programming, no matter how low the price. Most expect to get shows like “Floydian Slip” without paying a fee. In exchange, they give airtime for syndicators’ network commercials that are included in their shows.
We’re focusing on expanding our Random Precision Radio Network, with hopes to eventually attract a network sponsor.
Pink Floyd fans can lend a hand: We’ve made our radio station database searchable online so you can see what station(s) in your area we’ve already approached and put in a good word.
Search the database and help bring “Floydian Slip” to your local station!
