Pink Floyd will stream the 90-minute television edit of its 1994 concert film “Pulse” on YouTube today at 12:00 EDT.

The band will stream a full concert performance each week today through May 17 as part of the @YouTube Film Festival.

Pink Floyd announces Record Store Day release

Posted March 3, 2020 by Floydian Slip

Pink Floyd Records will release a limited edition, one-sided 45 of “Arnold Layne” for Record Store Day, Saturday, April 18.

The recording represents the last live performance by Floyd with David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright playing together at the Syd Barrett tribute “The Madcap’s Last Laugh” at London’s Barbican on May 10, 2007.

The trio was joined by Jon Carin on keyboards and vocals; and Andy Bell from Oasis on bass guitar.

Floyd creative director Aubrey Powell oversaw the sleeve, newly created by long-time Floyd collaborators, photographer Rupert Truman and designer Peter Curzon, both of StormStudios. New art extends to the B-side of the single, which features an etching of handcuffs echoing the sleeve design and song lyrics.

The single was mixed by Damon Iddins.

Pink Floyd Records has supported Record Store Day each year since the label’s launch in June 2016.

David Gilmour joins Polly Samson on book tour

Posted February 12, 2020 by Floydian Slip

David Gilmour will join his writing partner and wife, Polly Samson, in making three appearances to promote Samson’s new book, “A Theatre for Dreamers.”

Billed as “an evening of words and music,” Gilmour tweeted, “I’ll be performing a few songs, including a new one — ‘Yes, I Have Ghosts’ —  which we wrote together, inspired by the book.”

Samson has been Gilmour’s go-to lyricist beginning with Pink Floyd’s 1994 album “The Division Bell.”

Journalist Rosie Boycott will moderate the conversation with Samson at Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester, March 30; Town Hall, Birmingham, March 31; and Central Hall Westminster, London, April 2.

Tickets range from £38-£44 and go on sale 10 a.m. GMT Friday, Feb. 14:
