“Floydian Slip” coming to KQHK (McCook, NE)

“Floydian Slip” will begin airing on KQHK 103.9 FM in McCook, NE, on May 3.
“The Hawk” will carry the show Saturdays at 10 p.m. CT.
KQHK is 50,000-watt classic rock station serving southwest Nebraska and northwest Kansas.
More than 55 affiliate stations have joined the show’s Random Precision Radio Network, created in Summer 2009 when we began syndicating our show from our Vermont studio.

Announcing Floydian Slip’s 4th Annual “Surrogate Bands: Pink Floyd Cover Contest!”
Submit your own recording of a Floyd song for a chance to win some great prizes and have your song aired on the “Floydian Slip” radio show.
One first prize winner will get $200 in Pink Floyd merchandise from The Official Web Store of Pink Floyd. And … we’ll air their recording during a special all-covers edition of the “Floydian Slip” radio show: Our “Surrogate Bands” special will run for a week starting June 30 on all 50+ “Floydian Slip” affiliate stations.
Second prize, selected by random drawing, is a Pink Floyd periodical package including four magazines featuring the group or its members on the cover: Uncut (November 2013), Guitar World (Holiday 2013), Record Collector (August 2013) and Classic Rock presents Prog (September 2010).

Nick Mason to host charity event at his home

Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason and his wife, Annette, will host a charity auction at their Corsham, Wiltshire, home June 21 and 22.
The event will benefit Springboard Opportunity Group in Chippenham and the Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust.
“We wanted to support two different charities who impact on the lives of folk locally,” Nick says. “We thought about one for the elderly and one for the young.”
He’ll bake a cake to be auctioned.
“Nick is an excellent cook and often creates wonderful diner parties for our friends,” Annette says. “When his daughters and sons are home, he still makes a special biscuit with a secret recipe which I know includes Mars Bars.”
The couple’s home was once owned by the Duchess of Cornwall (pictured with the Masons at last year’s event).
