Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets will release a special 12″ single for Record Store Day, Saturday, April 18.
“See Emily Play” and the long-lost Pink Floyd track “Vegetable Man” — both taken from the band’s upcoming “Live at the Roundhouse” album — will be backed by a custom etching.
Mason, a founding member of Pink Floyd and the band’s drummer, established Saucerful of Secrets in Spring 2018 as a vehicle to present live performances of Floyd’s early music. The band consists of Mason, Gary Kemp, Guy Pratt, Lee Harris and Dom Beken.
The band has performed dozens of shows in Europe and North America to enthusiastic crowds and critical acclaim. It has more than 30 dates schedule for 2020, starting April 23 in Guilford.
On Tuesday, Floyd announced it’ll issue a limited edition, one-sided 45 of “Arnold Layne” for Record Store Day. (See “Pink Floyd announces Record Store Day release.”)

Pink Floyd Records will release a limited edition, one-sided 45 of “Arnold Layne” for Record Store Day, Saturday, April 18.
The recording represents the last live performance by Floyd with David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright playing together at the Syd Barrett tribute “The Madcap’s Last Laugh” at London’s Barbican on May 10, 2007.
The trio was joined by Jon Carin on keyboards and vocals; and Andy Bell from Oasis on bass guitar.
Floyd creative director Aubrey Powell oversaw the sleeve, newly created by long-time Floyd collaborators, photographer Rupert Truman and designer Peter Curzon, both of StormStudios. New art extends to the B-side of the single, which features an etching of handcuffs echoing the sleeve design and song lyrics.
The single was mixed by Damon Iddins.
Pink Floyd Records has supported Record Store Day each year since the label’s launch in June 2016.
