Pink Floyd on the cover of Rolling Stone

Posted September 29, 2011 by Floydian Slip

Rolling Stone issue #1141 will be a keeper for Pink Floyd fans: The magazine devotes its cover story to the band and its “The Dark Side of the Moon,” with new interviews with each surviving member.

“I understand how other people want that sort of (reunion) thing to happen, but I’m entirely selfish in thinking that I want to enjoy my declining years exactly the way that I want to do it,” David Gilmour says in the magazine. “And that wouldn’t be part of it.”

Issue #1141 is on newsstands now.

YouTube: Pink Floyd on the hour, every hour

Posted September 24, 2011 by Floydian Slip

Pink Floyd has beefed up its already pretty beefy YouTube channel with a new hourly feature: “The Greatest Gig in the Sky.”

Every hour, on the hour, the channel is featuring audio from its previously unreleased November 1974 Wembley show, along with original concert screen footage and a real-time social media stream.

The channel also features nearly 30 other Floyd videos, including this new full-length British advertisement for the Why Pink Floyd? remaster campaign:
