Floydian Slip coming to KTHO, Lake Tahoe, Calif.

Posted February 27, 2010 by Floydian Slip

“Floydian Slip” will begin airing on KTHO-AM/FM “K-Tahoe” in South Lake Tahoe, Calif., today, Saturday, Feb. 27.

K-Tahoe becomes the sixth affiliate to join the show’s Random Precision Radio Network, created last summer when we began syndicating the show from our Vermont studio.

KTHO is an AM/FM combo broadcasting at 590 AM and 96.1 FM at the southern tip of Lake Tahoe, alongside the Nevada border. It also streams in a variety of formats on the Web at www.kthoradio.com.

The 2,500-watt AM signal’s “local” area, as defined by the Federal Communication Commission (FCC), reaches north to Reno, Nev.; “distant” area includes Sacramento; and the signal’s “fringe” area goes as far southwest to include San Francisco.

The 40-watt FM station is a “translator station,” simulcasting the AM station’s content to the local area at 96.1 FM.

“Floydian Slip” will air on K-Tahoe each Saturday at 6 p.m., local (Pacific) time.
