Posted August 19, 2011 by Floydian Slip

Mojo has released a limited edition re-recording of Pink Floyd‘s “The Dark Side of the Moon.”

“Return to the Dark Side of the Moon,” a vinyl 12-inch gatefold record, comes with a special edition of the latest issue of the venerable British music magazine featuring a special Floyd cover. The issue contains new interviews with Floyd’s David Gilmour and Nick Mason. The Flaming Lips, Roy Harper, Roxy Music, The Shins, My Morning Jacket, Porcupine Tree and other groups “revisit the genius of ‘Dark Side’ and ‘Wish You Were Here,'” according to the magazine.

Mojo plans to produce only 10,000 copies of the package, which will be sold in HMV and WHSmith stores in the U.K. and in Barnes & Noble in the U.S. Mojo tells us to expect it in Barnes & Noble in about four weeks. The magazine’s also selling copies online, shipped direct to U.K. addresses for £15.99; £17.99 elsewhere.
