Random Precision Radio Network update

Posted September 19, 2018 by Floydian Slip

In addition to our occasional notices of new affiliate stations joining our network, here’s a summary of some other recent changes to our broadcast schedule:

After a short hiatus, “Floydian Slip” has returned to WAIB 88.5 FM “Better Radio” in Redwood, NY, Tuesdays at 6 p.m. ET.

We’ve also resumed airing on WKPW 90.7 FM in Knightstown, IN, Sundays at 8 p.m. ET. “Classic Hits 90.7” is a student-run operation owned by New Castle Career Center that takes off summers.

Here in our Vermont backyard, our longest-running affiliate, Burlington’s WIZN 106.7 FM “The Wizard,” moved us to 10 p.m. Sundays after several years of airing at 8 p.m. “I love the vibe of this show at 8 p.m. in the cold, dark winter,” program director Matt Grasso explained to us, “but in the middle of the summer it’s light out at 8 p.m. and people are still on their decks barbecuing.” Agreed.

A little farther south, WDVT 94.5 FM in Rutland, VT, has flipped formats from classic hits to classic rock and rebranded from “The Drive” to “Rock 94.5” A few months ago they moved us back a couple hours from 10 Saturday nights to midnight.

On Sept. 1, KVMO 104.3 FM “V104.3” in Vandalia, MO, moved us from 11 p.m. Sundays to 5 p.m. Sundays.

Last week KGFK 95.7 “The Forks” in Grand Forks, ND, rebranded to “Rock 95” and moved our Saturday airtime. Now you can hear “Floydian Slip” Saturday and Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. CT.

And starting October 1, WQON 100.3 FM “Q100” in Grayling, MI, will begin simulcasting on WOUF 99.3 FM, soon to be renamed WQAN, a little farther west in Beulah, MI. Hear us there Thursdays at 10 p.m. and Sundays at 7 p.m. CT.

I emailed Matt at WIZN and expressed my displeasure at the time change.
I’m listening online now…a station in South Carolina.
    Keep up the great work!

    Shine on!
