Posted October 29, 2018 by Floydian Slip

This Thursday, Nov. 1, Carlton Books will publish “Pink Floyd in Objects” by Glenn Povey.

The hardcover book details more than 100 items of diverse memorabilia related to the band including a 1964 Architectural Abdabs press clip, the early group’s Bedford van, the ill-fated Floyd blimp, the band’s VCS3 synthesizer, David Gilmour‘s black Stratocaster guitar, an “Animals” 8-track tape and much more.

Povey founded the Floyd fanzine “Brain Damage” and was its editor from 1985 to 1993. He co-wrote “Pink Floyd in the Flesh: The Complete Performance History” and wrote “Echoes: The Complete History of Pink Floyd.” He’s written extensively about the band for Mojo, Record Collector, Classic Rock and other music magazines.

“Pink Floyd in Objects” contains 224 pages and is priced at £20.

We’ll give away copies on an upcoming episode of “Floydian Slip.”
