Random Precision Radio Network update

Posted April 2, 2019 by Floydian Slip

In addition to our occasional notices of new affiliate stations joining our network, here’s a summary of some other recent changes to our broadcast schedule:

Our last show on WAQY “Rock 102” in Springfield, Mass., was last weekend. “We’ve been doing this for five years and want to take a break,” program director Lenny Diana told us. “It’s a great show, but want to do other things.”

Our final broadcast on Chicago market affiliate WFXF 103.9 FM “The Fox” will be this weekend.

A station insider there told us a couple months ago an anticipated ownership change was likely to trigger a format change and a clean sweep of the station’s programming and talent.

That change is set to take place Monday, April 8. The Fox held off announcing the news until today for fear releasing it yesterday would be misinterpreted as an April Fools joke.

On a brighter note, KLKK 103.7 FM in Mason City, Iowa, is adding a second weekly airing of “Floydian Slip.” You can hear us on The Fox Saturday and Friday nights at midnight, starting this weekend. “We are getting great feedback on the show,” program director Harry O’Neal tells us.

And several affiliate stations have recently renewed their broadcast agreements with us, a dozen over the last two weeks alone.

We’re currently looking for new affiliates to replace the two we’re losing in Springfield and Chicago. You can always lend your support by contacting stations directly and telling them you want to hear “Floydian Slip” on your local airwaves.
