  1. Jason S. Stedman says:

‘The Nile Song’ from the MORE Soundtrack was a great song to end the show with! I would have to say that it is Floyd’s most METAL song! The ‘MORE’ and ‘Obscured By Clouds’ Soundtracks are criminally underrated, and both are tied for my second favorite Floyd albums (of course, Animals’ is #1!). My favorite Floyd era is definitely 1968-1972 and 1977-1978. Surprisingly, I am not a big fan of their ‘most accessible’ albums-‘Dark Side of the Moon’, ‘Wish You Were Here’, ‘The Wall’, ‘The Final Cut’ or ‘The Momentary Lapse of Reason’. Both ‘The Division Bell’ and ‘The Endless River’ were a solid way for Floyd to out.

The first two David Gilmour solo albums are fantastic, along with the late Rick Wrights 1978 ‘Wet Dream’ and Nick Mason’s 1981(really in-name-only) solo debut LP NICK MASON’s FICTITIOUS SPORTS’ (which I purchased a copy of the cassette at a local thrift shop here in Rome for $0.49 four years ago).

My favorite book that I read in December 2012 on Pink Floyd was the late Nicolas Schaffer’s 1991 ‘Saucerful of Secrets.’

I been listening to this FANTASTIC song since February 2014 here on 92.7 The Drive in the Rome/Utica area and only missed one show this year. Keep up the great work!!

  2. Shine on, Jason!
