Your chance to play the part of the surrogate band is on again: Enter Floydian Slip’s 12th Annual “Surrogate Bands: Pink Floyd Cover Contest!”

Submit your own recording of a Floyd song for a chance to win some great prizes and have your recording broadcast on the “Floydian Slip” radio show.

The winner gets $200 in Floyd merchandise from The Official Web Store of Pink Floyd and their recording played the week of July 1 on show #1473 — a special all-covers episode of “Floydian Slip” titled “Surrogate Bands.”

Enter to win a copy of the just-released Atom Heart Mother Hakone Aphrodite Japan 1971.

Housed in a 7-inch gatefold sleeve, the release includes the album on CD; and a Blu-ray disc featuring footage of “Atom Heart Mother” performed at Japan’s Hakone Aphrodite Festival in August 1971.

Originally released as part of “The Early Years” box set, the film has been upgraded from a recently-discovered original tape. It includes a behind-the-scenes mini documentary.

Nathan Gosnell has won our 11th annual Surrogate Bands Pink Floyd Cover Contest.

Gosnell, from Montrose, Iowa, took the prize with his recording of “Comfortably Numb.”

A multi-instrumentalist since he was 10, he can be seen and heard performing with his bands StumpTown and Big Guitars.

This past week, Gosnell had his winning entry played on “Floydian Slip” episode #1420 — a special episode of our weekly Floyd radio show that was devoted entirely to other artists’ recordings of Floyd music.

He also receives $200 in merchandise from the official webstore of Pink Floyd, shop.pinkfloyd.com.
