Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour has purchased a £3 million beachfront home in the southern English town of Hove.
He and his wife, Polly Samson, have hired an architectural firm from nearby Brighton to renovate the six-story structure, which is at the corner of Medina Terrace and King’s Esplanade, yards from the beach.
The home has six bedrooms, five baths, and includes a two-bedroom apartment on the ground floor.
According to the architect’s Web site, which lists the owners as “Mr. and Mrs. Samson,” the renovation will use low-carbon technologies and incorporate a solar water heating system, grey water recycling and a ventilation system with heat recovery.
The property previously belonged to Karron Eubank, former wife of boxer Chris Eubank.
