The deadline to our 6th Annual Surrogate Bands Pink Floyd Cover Contest is this week.

You have through Friday, June 24, to submit your recording of a Floyd song.

Winner gets $200 in merchandise from shop.pinkfloyd.com; and their song played on next week’s “Floydian Slip” radio show, heard on 74 stations.

Our runner-up entry, selected by random drawing, gets the latest three (3) releases from Floyd and its members: “Roger Waters: The Wall,” David Gilmour’s “Rattle That Lock,” and the deluxe 2-disc CD/DVD set of Floyd’s “The Endless River.”

“Floydian Slip” coming to KZRJ (Jerome, AZ)

“Floydian Slip” will begin airing on KZRJ 100.5 FM in Jerome, Ariz., starting Wednesday, June 22. The station will carry the show Wednesdays at 8 p.m. MT.

“Gulch Radio” is a 100-watt non-commercial rock station serving the Black Hills of Yavapai County, Arizona.

More than 70 affiliate stations have joined the show’s Random Precision Radio Network, created seven years ago when we began syndicating our show from our Vermont studio.

Dark Side voice McCullough dies

Henry McCullough, whose utterance “I don’t know, I was really drunk at the time” can be heard on Pink Floyd’s “The Dark Side of the Moon” (1973), has died.

He was 72 and passed away after a long illness at his home in Ballymoney, Northern Ireland.

McCullough played with Joe Cocker, Donovan, Leon Russell, Ronnie Laine, but, perhaps most famously, with Paul McCartney and Wings.

His contribution to “Dark Side” can be heard at the end of “Money,” recounting an argument he supposedly had with his wife the night before.

“Floydian Slip” will begin airing on Radio Vegas starting Tuesday, June 21. The station will carry the show Tuesdays at 6 p.m. PT.

Radio Vegas is a streaming radio station headquartered in Las Vegas, Nev.

More than 70 affiliate stations have joined the show’s Random Precision Radio Network, created seven years ago when we began syndicating our show from our Vermont studio.
